HVVFF PILOPT PROJECT – BEACON OF HOPE PROJECT

It is with great pleasure that our organization announces its pilot VVF project tagged “Beacon of Hope Project, 2022” (Hereinafter referred to as “Pilot Project”). This pilot project is a collaborative effort of Haven VVF Foundation and RAiSE Foundation to provide medical procedures for several victims of VVF in Kontagora Local Government Area, Niger State, Nigeria, West Africa. The pilot project commences on August 22nd, 2022, till October 2022.

Haven VVF Foundation was registered as a non-profit organization in 2018 under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code in the United States of America. The organization's vision includes but is not limited to creating awareness about VVF as a condition suffered by young girls and women in underdeveloped and developing countries especially in Nigeria, providing medical treatments for victims of Vesicovaginal fistula condition, and providing skills acquisitions as a form of economic empowerment for its participants. With the kind generosity of donors, the organization has been able to raise funds to embark on its pilot project.

The focus of the pilot project is to sponsor corrective surgeries for eight (8) women suffering from Vesicovaginal fistula conditions. The expectation is that the selected participants will have the opportunity to recover their lives back. Apart from the medical treatment, the organization would provide psychological therapy sessions and skill acquisition programs for the participants. Upon the completion of their skill acquisition programs, the participants would be awarded start-up kits to start their businesses. The project will be documented to create more awareness of the condition and solicit support. The documentary will be shown at the organization’s yearly appreciation and fundraising event coming up at the end of the year. Follow all our social media platforms for more details about the organization’s projects and events. We are grateful to our donors who have donated generously to make this project a reality.
