WHO WE ARE

At HVVFF, we provide these women with tools to deal with the VVF, which can eliminate or minimize some (if not all) negative effects associated with the condition. Reducing or eliminating these effects will improve these women’s lives.

Our goal is to progressively address many, if not all, issues surrounding VVF women in Africa. Some of our services include but are not limited to, enrolling such women in an empowerment program designed to teach skills for sustainable livelihoods and appropriate techniques after surgery and recovery.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Women’s health is a significant determinant of global health and the health of future generations. Vesicovaginal Fistula is an abnormality that affects millions of women across Africa. It hasn’t received the attention it deserves due to lack of awareness and inadequate Health Care in more rural parts of the continent and is a significant concern for this organization. After extensive research, we’ve concluded that if more people do not get involved in improving access to care for these women and young girls, cases of Vesicovaginal Fistula will only continue to increase.

WHAT WE DO

Haven VVF Foundation was created to help women suffering from VVF in Africa. Haven VVF Foundation will assist all types of women suffering from VVF—old and young, educated and uneducated, and every other woman. In addition, haven VVF Foundation will prevent cases of VVF from increasing in Africa by bringing awareness to the condition, which is our promise!
